Annie graduated from Concord University with her bachelor’s degree in social work in 2015 and her master’s degree in 2016. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina and Virginia and has worked across a wide range of populations, from early childhood through adulthood. She has experience working with individuals with developmental differences, such as autism and ADHD, and draws from a background in crisis response to provide steady, practical support during high-stress situations.
As a generalist practitioner, Annie utilizes a broad range of clinical approaches including, but not limited to, CBT, DBT, and IFS (parts work), integrating skills to best meet individual needs. She believes in the power of the therapeutic process, using the work done together in session to explore patterns, build insight, and develop tools for real-life change. Her style encourages open dialogue and prioritizes transparency within a nonjudgmental space.
Annie works with clients navigating anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, stress, life transitions, relationship dynamics, and the process of adjusting to mental health symptoms. Notably, she supports parents in developing behaviorally informed strategies to reduce stress, improve routines, and respond effectively to their children’s needs, while taking into account how past and current experiences influence parenting. She also focuses on helping individuals work through difficult experiences that may be showing up in their emotions, behaviors, or everyday patterns.
Annie currently provides therapy exclusively via online telehealth to clients in North Carolina. Whether starting therapy for the first time or returning after a difficult experience, she offers a down-to-earth approach that supports individuals in navigating their path at their own pace.
