Carrington is a third-year graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a minor in Elementary Education, from Virginia State University in 2021.
Carrington’s journey into mental health counseling was deeply influenced by her four years as a classroom teacher. Throughout her teaching career, she developed a strong passion for collaborating with families and recognized the need for greater mental health support within family structures. This experience fueled her desire to address mental health challenges, particularly in marginalized communities, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
Carrington is dedicated to helping youth and adults navigate a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, OCD, and trauma. She is also passionate about supporting individuals dealing with stress, life transitions, grief, and self-esteem. With a holistic approach, Carrington aspires to walk alongside others in their journey to overall wellness.
