Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health and National Certified Counselor. She graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in psychology and African American Studies from Guilford College, and with a Master’s in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Kelly uses a trauma informed approach and currently practices a trans-theoretical approach that includes but is not limited to CBT, REBT, DBT, and Person-Centered modalities. She is actively learning TF-CBT and will implement them into sessions when appropriate.
Kelly works with children (starting age 5), adolescents, adults, parents, and families. Her goal is to help create a safe space for clients who are struggling with mental, emotional, social, behavioral, and spiritual health by supporting clients as they restructure, rebuild, and reframe their quality of life. Kelly’s current focus is trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, BPD, low self-esteem, parenting, and behavior concerns, to name a few. She has worked as an Intensive In-Home Therapist by providing in-home therapy to children, adolescents, and their families with behavioral problems. Kelly believes everyone deserves a safe space to grow, improve, and explore in order to create the best version of themselves.
