Mekaila Bostic - MS, LCMHCA

Mekaila is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2021.

Mekaila works with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. Her counseling approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality/Choice Theory, and Adlerian Theory, each emphasizing client autonomy, practical problem-solving, and personal growth. She has a particular interest in working with youth and young adults navigating ADHD, OCD, neurobiological conditions, and trauma-related disorders. Mekaila’s approach is informed by a deep empathy for individuals adjusting to a new diagnosis and the accompanying emotional, social, and identity-related challenges.

When appropriate, she integrates Expressive Arts Therapy into her sessions, drawing on her background in music and communications. This may include mindfulness practices and creative arts interventions such as singing, dance, painting, journaling, poetry, and storytelling. She believes that creative expression can be a powerful complement to evidence-based approaches, helping clients process their experiences and build resilience.

Her passion for clinical mental health counseling stems from both personal and professional experiences. Committed to mental health advocacy, Mekaila empowers her clients to find purpose and strength in their healing journey, holding true to her belief that pain can be transformed into resilience, growth, and hope.
